the amish here buy for funiture and a load [pickup] can bring $400 if done right and find someone who wants it ...sometimes they do other times good luck, but a bout 2-3 loads as much as they take for a while not unlimited.They looking for 8-10" max and 4 " smallest for chairs etc and they have to be lifted not dragged to truck[bark on].

Do you guys find one time of year [to harvest roots]better than others for "TEA"

Yes, we prefer late fall and winter roots as the sap is still in the root. We have and still do harvest some in the summer but I dont think the roots as good and at one time the market wanted cold weather root.
