Anyone still enjoy chasing the little bushytails nowdays? Our season opens August 1st and I cant wait. Ive only missed a few openers in the last 35 years. We mainly hunt reds as there isnt any greys till you cross the interstate just south of us. We probably kill 4 or 5 reds for every grey during the long season as we do get to the south side of the interstate some now.

Not much for gray bushytails here unless its in town and most them eat garbage.

Really? North of the interstate most of the greys live in towns or homesteads but south of the interstate they thrive in the timbers. We prefer the reds as theyre about double to triple the size of our little timber greys.

Everyone in our group is hyped up and rarin to go. You'd think it was opening day of deer season. Heard they were cutting hickorys but went scouting and theyre not into them good yet so opening days are gonna be tough.
