Well today Was a homestead work day for me. I loaded up 5 loads like this... I set toturn them 5 loads into this... While thats was going on I set this in the grill to cook very slow... Everythig got split and put in the wood shed, then I set my backside down on a stump and feed my face. I shoul dhave done a tater or 2 on the little grill, but alas it was an all meat meal. While gathering wood I alfo found... I found some ripe.... Thimbleberries!! I dont know what yall call'em but dad as always called'em Pigeon berries. The Pigeon berries will be used in Pemmican, they have not taste to speak of but are plumb full of protein. Almost forgot the Raspberry!!!

Never seen them pigeon or thimble berries? Raspberries are done here for the most part but balckberrys are coming on strong. Gooseberries are done in the open spots but just coming on good in the middle of the timbers.
